Terms & refund policy

1. The service

One paid booking = one site visit to one plot, house site or land parcel in or around Bengaluru. Deliverables: a video walk-around (recorded in 4K where light and access allow), a check of the boundary stones you identify, geotagged and timestamped photographs, and a one-page written report of what was observed. Delivered by email or a download link within 48 hours of the visit.

2. Observation only

The visit is a visual observation and record. It is not a land survey, measurement, title or legal opinion, valuation, or any professional advice. We do not confirm legal boundaries, ownership or approvals, remove encroachments, contact authorities, or negotiate with neighbours or third parties. Any decision you make based on the report is yours; consult a lawyer or licensed surveyor for those matters.

3. Your responsibilities

You confirm you own the plot or are authorised by its owner to request the visit. You give an accurate location. For gated or access-controlled layouts you provide a signed authorisation letter (template on our site). We do not climb fences, break locks or enter where access is refused.

4. Scheduling

We aim to visit within 7 days of receiving complete plot details. Weather, layout rules or access issues may shift the date; we'll tell you.

5. Refunds

Full refund if we cannot complete the visit within 7 days of receiving complete plot details, or if you cancel before the visit is scheduled.
50% refund if a gated layout refuses entry despite your authorisation letter; you still get what is visible from the gate and road.
If the plot cannot be located from the details given, we'll ask you once more; if it still can't be found, 50% refund.
No refund once the deliverables are sent, except where we clearly failed to deliver the scope above, in which case we revisit for free or refund in full.

Refunds go back to the original payment method within 5-10 business days. Email hello@plotcheckin.com to request one.

6. Payments

Payments are processed by Razorpay (India) or Stripe (international) on their hosted pages; we never see or store your card details. Checkout pages and statements show our billing name "Lauki".

7. Privacy

We collect only what's needed to do the visit: your name, contact, plot location and any documents you send, through checkout, our booking form or email. Media of your plot is shared only with you. We delete your documents 90 days after delivery unless you ask us to keep them for repeat visits. We never sell your data.

8. Liability

Our total liability for any booking is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for anything that happens on or to the plot before or after the visit.

9. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India; courts at Bengaluru have jurisdiction.
